RAJO – Somali for HOPE.
RAJO applies a holistic approach to address the cultural, social and economic well-being as well as the personal development of Somali youth, adults, and families within Canadian society.
We hope to empower Somali youth and families through culturally sensitive strategies that promote their overall health and well-being.
Well-being and Integration
RAJO aims to address the well-being and integration of Somali youth and adults within schools and communities through meaningful recreation, cultural activities & transitional employment programs.
RAJO is a mean to increase awareness about youth health & wellness, positive thinking & effective decision-making, peer relationships, positive parent/child communication & stronger parent-school engagement.
This project is a partnership between Somali Canadian Cultural Society of Edmonton, Canadian Friends of Somalia, Ottawa, Boston Children’s Hospital & with the generous support of Public Safety Canada.
